We take great pride in the performance, and appearance of our client’s horse, and well as our own horses.
Our feeding schedule is meticulous. We feed 4 times a day. We use alfalfa/grass blend cubes, and alfalfa/timothy hay. We are very fortunate to have Mike and Deb Anderson of Barrhead, Alberta for our hay suppliers. Since using them in 2002 we have been 100% pleased with the quality of their hay. We really like the guaranteed protein value in our cubes, and have never had any kind of complications using them.
We use a mineral specifically formulated for our needs by our local feed store, Spruce Grove Feeds, and do feed other supplements as dictated by the needs of each individual horse.
Our barn is very modern, we have asphalt floors with 1 inch rubber mats, and hi hog stall systems for the horse’s well-being. We use disinfectant every day in our alleyways, and stall dry product in our stalls .The barn is well ventilated to control the effects of ammonia. We have installed smoke alarms which go directly to the 2 houses on our farm, and also are programmed to call our phone numbers. Further plans for camera’s in the barns are in the making. We do have an intercom system, so if there is a horse we are worried about at night, we can leave the speaker on and hear everything going on in the barn.
We truly believe in an honest trainer/client relationship. While realizing that it is impossible to please everyone, all of the time (and that did take years!) we sincerely remain of the opinion that honesty with clients (be it owners or breeders) is the only way to remain in this business. We are going on 26 years (well Loren is,, I am not quite that old, talk about dating oneself!). Although we have only been in the show pen for half of those 26 years we have been very fortunate to have enjoyed success with clients horses, as well as our own.

Veterinary Services/ Dr. Sean Archibald/ Dr Deb Steele
All veterinary expenses, including regular worming, and vaccinations, etc. are the client’s responsibility. We require your horse to be up to date on all vaccinations, including West Nile Virus. We do like to give the intra-nasal flu vaccine in mid March to all show horses, we have been really pleased with the results of this particular vaccine. Most of our horses are on an I.V. hyonate program as well for maintenance of their joints. This is not injections in the joints but rather in the vein, and is administered by the veterinarian.
In some cases, we may be able to pay for services and then bill back, but we do prefer you to set up an account with our veterinarians. An authorized mastercard or visa number will usually be all they require from you.
We do try to contact the owner first when there is an emergency, however, if we cannot contact you, or if there is no time to make a call we reserve the right to exercise good judgment on your behalf.
Blanket Cleaning and Repair
We do offer to our clients a cleaning and repair service, through “Equine Essentials and More”. You will be billed directly from them.
For a list of prices please contact us. They are very reasonable!
We do have a few requirements for our client’s horse. They need to have a winter blanket, and hood, a summer sheet, and a spare summer sheet to wear when their other is being washed. We encourage monthly washing ,of sheets in particular, as they are on the horse constantly. The company we use goes the extra mile and uses an antifungal rinse on all the blankets. We think that is a very nice touch!
Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions regarding our training services.
