Classic Performance Horses is the home of Loren and Lisa Christianson, and daughters Sarah, Carly, and Skye. Lisa’s parents, Lionel, and Gail Hertlein also reside on the farm, making us a true “family’ run farm!

Conviently located 25 minutes west of Edmonton, Alberta , just off the Yellowhead highway, we are in the heart of northern horse country!

Our facility consists of a heated 14 stall barn, small breeding barn (7 stalls), indoor arena, 130 x 250 outdoor arena, and a new 130 ft outdoor round pen for working cattle. We keep a fairly consistant supply of fresh cattle on hand, as well as our buffalo, and the show-pro mechanical cow for working our cutters, and cowhorses.

There are 14 pipe and chainlink pens for individual turnout, as well as 3 big community pens, and of course we have the “boys” pen at the front of the farm, My Own League and Mr. Roan Freckles( a quest each year during breeding season) each get their chance to run and play each day in the 1 acre cable paddock.

In addition to training and showing cutting and cowhorses, we also stand the 2 stallions, and keep a small band of broodmares of our own. We usually have some nice prospects for sale, from weanlings to futurity age. Once a year Loren attends the sales in Fort Worth, and comes home with new horses for clients. If your looking for a show horse or prospect, feel free to contact us, if we don’t have anything, we can usually put you in touch with other trainers, or breeders that may be able to help you out.

We feel honored to work and show with the owners, trainers, and breeders in this industry. Both Loren and Lisa have been involved with various associations, from rodeo to breed shows, to the cutting and cowhorse associations. Lisa served as president for the Alberta Reined Cowhorse Association in 2003/4 , and both have served as directors. We continue to sit on the Canadian Snaffle Bit Futurity committee, and support it, as well as the Canadian Cutting Horse Assocation, by donating stallion services each year.

If you are ever out this way, consider this your invitation to stop by, have a coffee, and talk horses!

Happy Trails!
